Manchester Tall Clock
During the 18th century many fine clocks were produced for the wealthy shipping magnates of the Manchester-Liverpool area of England. Many of the embellishments on these cases are rather delicate and we often find that they are damaged or missing.
In this case the fretwork below the scrolls and above the waist door was gone. Many of the dentils on the scrolls, the corbel at the top of the arch, the plinths and finials, as well as the feet, all needed to be recreated.
