This early Chester County Pennsylvania high chest of drawers was pulled out of the Susquehanna River near Harrisburg after hurricane floods washed it away. It is a testament to the robust construction of this piece that the case was in good structural shape after drying out. But the drawers all had to be rebuilt, much of the thumbnail molding needed patching and the brasses were badly corroded.
