     Molly Pitcher Bureau

This small chest of drawers (only about 24 inches high) is said to have belonged to the Revolutionary War heroine Molly Pitcher. It is now in the museum of the Cumberland County Historical Society. Care was taken to preserve the old finish on this piece, and all the repairs were carefully blended in. The photo to the right shows the missing right foot, one of the many damaged areas.
