The owners of this Chester County slant top desk were thrilled when I discovered that the maker had signed his name, Christian Beary, several times on the bottom of the interior drawers. The before photos below show the poor patches adjacent to the hinges, a few of the many ink stains that needed to be removed and the generally degraded condition of the finish.
